Well, I did it, I jumped in with both feet! I suspect I'm in over my head a little bit but when I started considering doing this 3 Day event in November, something about it just seemed to fit right.
For the record, I will be participating in the Phoenix Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk over November 2 - 4. I've committed to raise $2200, and my personal goal is $3000. If you're here reading the blog, hopefully you've helped me reach that goal!
I officially signed up for the event yesterday afternoon, after I took the kids on a 6 mile walk. I figured if I was able to complete 6 miles to start, I'd know if I could reasonably train to get to three days of 20 miles each. The kids even surprised me by handling two hours in the stroller fairly well. We had a play break about 3/4 of the way through, which helped a lot. I was a little tuckered after the walk but finished it without feeling too bad.
I'm working on my snail mail letter today and fixing up my fundraising web page. I've got to find a 45 minute cardio workout to complete today as part of my training schedule.
This is going to be quite an adventure!!!
